A recent game of mine vs 144 ecf (I'm black). Nice ending even if I do say so myself.

1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 g6 3. Nc3 Bg7 4. g3 O-O 5. Bg2 d6 6. Bd2

{We're out of book, and I'm not sure what this achieves}

{seemed as good as anything.}

7. d5 a5 8. Bg5

{Bishop moved again. Why isn't white playing Nf3 and castling?}

{Now he must choose. Exchange or retreat.}

9. Bd2 {And the bishop moves a 3rd time.}

{hoping to push e4 before the knight finally comes to f3.}

10. Qc2 Na6

{heading for b4 or more likely c5.}

11. Na4 Bd7 12. a3

(12. Bxa5 {white can't take this pawn because of} Nb8 ({the move in my head was} 12...
Bxa4 13. Qxa4 Nc5 14. Qb5))

12... Bxa4 13. Qxa4 Nc5 14. Qc2 a4 15. e4

{I saw that coming. Perhaps I should have played it.}

15...Nb3 16. Rd1 Nd4 17. Qd3 Nd7

{attempting to bring the other knight into the game.}

18. Bb4 c5 19. Bc3 Qb6 20. Ne2 Rac8

{I don't remember exactly what I was trying to achieve here. A b5 push perhaps?}

21. O-O Qa6 22. f4 Nb6

{new plan, hit c4.}

23. fxe5 dxe5 24. Bxd4 cxd4 25. Bh3 Rxc4 26. Qf3 Rf8 27. Rf2 Nc8 28. Nc1 Nd6 29. Bf1
{ooops. Not really paying attention to what white is doing.}

{If I'm losing the rook, another pawn on the 5th seems like good compensation.}

30. Bxc4 bxc4 31. Na2 Qb6 32. Nb4

{Not sure what the knight was doing here, really.}

{probably had a minute or two left before the time control. Time for my break.}

33. exf5 e4

{Not too concerned about getting the pawn back.}

34. Qg2 e3 35. Rf3 d3

{pawn march continues}

36. Kh1 e2 37. Re1 d2 38. Qxe2 dxe1=Q+ 39. Qxe1 Nxf5 40. Qe2 Kh7 41. Qxc4

{I forgot about that pawn.}

41...Nd6 {force another exchange}

42. Qf1 Rxf3 43. Qxf3 Bxb2 44. Qd3

{lets my queen in.}

44...Qf2 45. h4 Nf5 0-1
